Autum/Fall in Olympia.....

I've been visiting my parents in Olympia, Washington for just a little over a week, giving my Mom some much needed TLC...I hop the big jet tomorrow and fly home to Australia and all things "MY LIFE".... In the meantime, I've been enjoying the fall colours, the smells and feel of the place I called home for lots and lots of years.

I love these colours so much..just might get inspired to work on some beaded pieces when I get home, based on this colour scheme....stay tuned!









Because I live in the southern hemisphere, I will be going home to summer.....

A few years back while we were traveling in Hong Kong, I found a small box of exquisite miniature block paintings in small frames-actually pendants of sorts.

Every so often I am inspired to bead a necklace around one of these….Here are a few examples of the “Geisha Girl Series” by Renee Blackwell Design.

Sydney in the morning....Then San Francisco-California

I'm off for 3 weeks to the USA. Home. And well...not home. I have 2 places on this planet I call home! The first is a medium size American town called Olympia in the STATE of Washington. The second is "Hazelwild Retreat" our 50 acre property, just outside the wonderful country town of Maleny, Queensland-Austrlia.
I have an equally soft spot in my heart for both places....


I will try and blog as often as possible...this is a "Renee Blackwell Design" jewellery blitz with trade shows and promotional events in San Francisco, Seattle and Olympia. Clarnia (US Rep. for all things Renee Blackwell Design) and I will be having a wonderful time...

Jasper my new little man.....

I’ve already written a blog posting about my adorable new puppy, Jasper. I’ve been told however, that the photos did not appear on the blog site. Odd, but never mind that… So here are photo’s taken just last night of the wonderful new man in my life at 9 weeks old….Today I might add was our first day at puppy school. He rocked!

Did you know Jasper is actually a black and white stone? How perfect for a black and white Border Collie!

Snowflake Obsidian meaning
